Colin Blackwell scored 17:46 runs for the first time to win 4-3 OT to Dallas stars for a 4-3 OT victory on the Colorado avalanched tour of her first round Stanley Cup playoff series on Monday.
The best-seven chain is tied 1–1, with the game 3 set for Wednesday in Denver.
In Game 1, a healthy scratch, blackwell was inserted into a lineup and gave the first playoff overtime winner of his seven -year NHL career (and just his second playoff goal). Blackwell’s initial shot was blocked by Teammate Sam Steel, but Blackwell then submitted his rebound for the goal.
Steel had two assistance for the Multi-Point Playoff game, the third career of the forward.
Evageni Dadonov, Thomas Harley and Tyler Segin scored for stars in rules. Jake Oatter stopped 34 of 37 shots, leaving back after a hard-hand defeat in Game 1.
Logan O’Coner had a target and a support for Colorado. Jack Dori and Nathan McKinon scored other avalanche goals.
McKenzie Blackwood stopped 35 out of 35 shots, with several outstanding stops against an aggressive Dallas attack.
Colorado opened the scoring at Power Play 8:48 in the first period. Macinon found a place inside the circle and then fired a well -kept wrist pill of Ottinger.
With just 54 seconds in the first period, Segin created a power-play marker for equal. This was Segin’s first goal since November 29, as 58 games of the next regular season missed over the hip surgery.
The two teams exchanged goals within the 62-second interval in the second period. Harley temporarily gave Dallas the first lead of the series, but Dr. quickly covered the score on a point of 4:42.
Following the final-minute target of Segin in the first period, O’Coner hit even more deeply into the second frame with a spectacular target at the 19:27 mark. While being drawn down by the Dallas Forward Mason march, O’Coner still had sufficient strength and had to replace a backhand shot from the slot.
Dadonov again equaled 10:13 in the third period. Witch Johnson’s early shot was stopped by Blackwood, but Dadonov was to jam in the rebound in front of the net.
