During the IPL 2025 match between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday, a fight broke out at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. A video went viral showing two guys shouting at each other and an altercation occurring. Eventually, security had to intervene to restore order.
Frequent Fights at Arun Jaitley Stadium
This is not the first time that a fight has broken out at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Earlier in the same season, during the match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, spectators were fighting, and a female fan was seen hitting another fan. Others were calling for security to come in, and it ended up being much uglier than this incident.
DC won in super over
The DC vs. RR match was a very interesting one, extending to a super over. DC batted first and scored 188 runs. Later, Rajasthan Royals were also restricted to 188/4 in 20 overs. The match proceeded to the super over, and after Mitchell Starc’s heroics, Rajasthan Royals only managed to post 11 runs, which DC’s KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs chased down in 4 balls.
After this win, Delhi Capitals are back at the top of the table, having played 6 matches and won 5 with 1 loss, earning them 10 points with a net run rate of +0.744. In contrast, the Rajasthan Royals are struggling at 8th place, having played 7 matches and winning only 2 while losing 5, resulting in 4 points with a net run rate of -0.714.
