The facility of Minnesota Wilde was renamed Grand Casino Arena

Operators of NHL’s Minnesota Wilde and PWHL’s Minnesota Frost, Excellent Energy Center on Monday announced a name change for convenience.
The area of 18,000 seats in St. Paul in the city will be known as the Grand Casino Arena which is starting from September 3.
Minnesota Sports and Entertainment signed a 14 -year naming rights participation with the owners of the building, Ogibwe’s mills bands.
“Grand Casino Arena will serve as an anchor of a dynamic entertainment district that replaces St. Paul,” said Craig Lapold, the majority owner and leading investor at Minnesota Sports and Entertainment. “Ogibwe’s millions of bands have been a strong supporter and investor in the city. We are thrilled to support his partnership and the arena.”
Xcel Energy had organized naming rights since the building opened in 2000.
“This is more than a name change – this is an indication that where we are going as a business,” said Ronda Vizanegger, CEO of Grand Casino. “Grand Casino Arena represents the strength of the tribal enterprise, and our ongoing investment in the future of Minnesota. We are proud to partner with Minnesota Wilde to bring this vision into life.”
