The end of the road for Lone-Veda Jadeja and Karun Nair?

England carries the series 2–1, left to go with 2 matches and all three results are still left.

India came close to a historic victory at Lord’s. For a second, it seemed that Ravindra Jadeja would take India home, but a solid defense of Mohammad Sirj lost England in the most brilliant way. All three Test matches are now on the wire and there is not much difference between the teams.

Third Test for India’s player rating: batsman

Yashasvi Jaiswal, 1/10: 13 runs (13 and 0)

The first failure of Jaiswal’s series. For the first time, he has not scored at least one fifty-plus score against England in a Test match. He got a good ball in Joffra Archer’s first innings. But his second innings dismissal was so terrible that no one could hold it right. In the second over of Chase, with about an hour before the end of the play, he went to a poor justice and departed for a duck. Earlier, Jaiswal had never tried to hit air shots in the first few overs, and it is worse than doing so in a win game.

KL Rahul, 10/10: 139 runs (100 and 39)

People have criticized Rahul for dismissing the pants through a run-out and then exiting after their hundred. However, this was not his fault for a completely run-out. Pant accepted the call and not even in a dive. He was the best batsman of India’s match and looked peerless until both innings exited. This was the one who carried India forward in both innings, facing a brand-new ball. Without their efforts, there was no way that India would have scored more than 300 in the first innings or perhaps the second crossed 100.

Karun Nair, 4/10: 54 runs (40 and 14)

Nair is the only Indian batsman who has made a debut every time, but has also failed to hit a fifty. He worked to give Gill a late entry point, but did not draw his weight on the pitches, where the batsmen have scored runs. His second innings dismissal was probably the worst for any Indian batsman in the series. This may end the end of the rope for her.

Shubman Gill, 2/10: 22 runs (16 and 6)

This was bound to happen. After scoring 585 runs in the first two matches, Gill was to fail. He looked good in the first innings, but England brought the wicketkeeper up and established him brilliantly. The second innings was rather shocking. Unlike the tendency of the past to see his eyes, Gill attacked almost every ball, before the Bridan cars were finally pinned. It was not a dismissal that was bad but its overall approach.

Rishabh Pant, 10/10: 83 runs (74 and 9)

Despite being a huge obstacle, Pant was India’s third best batsman. He could not play his shots due to an injured left hand. Nevertheless, he scored fifty runs in the first innings. His run-out left a sour taste in the mouth but such things happen. It was felt that despite a look break, his hand in the second excavation was worse and he ended for his first single-score in the series.

Dhruv Jurael, 10/10: 3 Catch

India gave 63 extras in Lord’s, but the statistics will not show how well Jurall kept. This was coming for the stump that brought the wicket of Harry Brook. He dropped a catch, but it was discovered that a no-ball was closed anyway. Siraj and Bumrah wandering down, the legs came down. Jurall did a better job with pants without a doubt and earned praise for his gloves.

India’s player rating for 2 Tests: All -rounders

Ravindra Jadeja, 10/10: Run 133 runs (72 and 61*), 1 wicket

Four consecutive fifties for Jadeja in England. And without a shadow of a doubt, he was India’s best batsman. He helped India move to equality in the first innings and then played one of the best knock by an Indian in a chase, which was in a losing. For a moment, it seemed that he would win the game for India, despite that he was chasing 193 chasing 82/7. But luck was not towards them.

Nitish Kumar Reddy, 9/10: 43 runs (30 and 13), 3 wickets

A proper all -rounder performance from Nitish Reddy. He got three wickets and that too of openers. The top-order is one necessary to take wickets and Nitish did so. He was solid with the bat both times. He made a great partnership with Jadeja both times and when he was behind, he kept India in the game.

Washington Sundar, 8/10: 23 runs (23 and 0), 4 wickets

Washington did not expect one-up Jadeja in the third innings. But he did it. Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Jamie Smith, and Shoaib Bashir’s wickets were the reason that India had banned England by 192. His batting was good in the first innings. He could have scored more runs, but then coming at number 8, someone could expect how many runs from him?

India’s player rating for 2 Tests: Fast Baouler

Jasprit Bumrah, 10/10: 7 wickets (74/5 and 38/2)

The best bowling spell of the series came from Bumrah in the second innings with a new ball, but he did not get a wicket. After running 5-cicat in the first innings, he found only 2 in the second. Despite taking the most wickets for any bowler in the match, people wanted more. That is Bumrah standard. Therefore, he showed some resistance with the bat after scoring three consecutive ducks in the series.

Mohammad Siraj, 9/10: 4 wickets (85/2 and 31/2)

Sirj dropped three bowling catches in the first innings. The call of the umpire did not go on its way. Like Bumrah, she may have a 5-cicat run. But luck was not towards him. He got the wickets of half-century cars and Smith in the first innings, England’s best batsman after the route. In the second innings, he got two of the three top-order wickets. His intensity never dipped once and whenever he bowled, England remained under pressure. He even wandered with the bat for a long time, but it was not just to happen.

Akash Deep, 2/10: 1 wicket (92/0 and 30/1)

A forgetful match for the sky. He was able to only 10% that he did in Edgbaston. The sky could not control or strike. He was India’s most expensive bowler at Lord’s. Brooke’s wicket was the only good part.
