Diego Rossi scored a Go-forward goal in the 21st minute and the Columbus Crew won 2–1 to go to Vancouver, so that his first defeat in 12 matches could be whitecapped.

Whitakaps (10–2–5, 38 points) scored six wins and five ties since the only defeat for the Chicago Fire on 22 March. Vancouver fell on the road to 4-1-3.

Columbus (8-3-7, 31 points) ended the 0-2-4 streak with his first win since 3 May vs Charlotte FC.

Ibrahim Aliu gave Columbus a lead in 2 minutes, before the gene cloud gando tied it.

Yohai Takoca of Vancouver made a sensational savings on Jacken Russell-Rowe in 90+4 minutes to keep the hopes of Whitcaps alive, but did not take advantage of it.

The crew got the beginning they needed but it did not last long.

Aliu scored a run from the middle of the box and was in a 6-yard box to replace the cross by Lassi Laplann, which made its first debut for the crew after six sessions in CF Montreal.

Whitakaps were not fried, and as a result of a midfield tech away, Pedro Vito Spotting was a counter on the right flank with Maithias Leboarda. He put Daniel Rios back the ball for a strike from above the box, which was mildly deformed by the nagando, but it was enough to change the direction.

Columbus proceeded 2–1 when Daniel Gajdag pressured Triston Blackman in a turnover in the final third and passed Rosie for his team’s best ninth goal. Gajdag contributed his first goal for the crew in 10 matches since he was acquired by Philadelphia Union.

Whitcaps have five players in the Cycode Gold Cup, including Sambastian Burhalter and Bryan White, a crew midfielder for the US national team.

Crew third-string goalkeeper Ivan Bush made his second start this season in the absence of injured Patrick Shulte and Understood Nicholas Hegan (Guatemala).
