The brave people rented pre-circular Freddy Gonzalez to fix 3B coaching crises

Atlanta Braves brought former manager Freddy Gonzalez back on a third basis on Tuesday after a series of base-ringing blunders.
He replaced Matt Tiisosopo, who accepted a new place as a minor league infield coordinator.
Braves have seen four runners out of the house plate this season, including an important cut-down of Alex Wordugo on May 17, a significant ninth place in losing 2–1 to San Diego Padress on May 23 and a loss of 7-6 on May 17 by Boston Red Sox Outfield Jeren Duran.
It is inverted as a role in Gonzalez, 61,, manager Brian Snight’s coaching staff.
The snakekar was the third-base coach for the first two years of Gonzalaz as the captain of Atlanta from 2011-16. Braves had a .512 win percentage under Gonzalaz and created a playoffs in 2012 and 2013. But after a record of 67-95 in 2015 and a thick start in 2016, the snakekar replaced Gonzalaz in May of that year.
General Manager Alex Anthopolos said that the team did not seriously consider changing the third basis by Sunday, and that the availability of Gonzalaz was important for the decision.
“If he was not available, I can’t tell you that we would have taken this step, because it was not just to make it,” Anthopolos said according to the athletic. “This was to be the right person and someone who can run on the land that we knew that we will succeed on him.
Gonzalaz also managed Miami Marlins from 2007–10, won the Sporting News Manager of the Year Award in 2008, and Marlins returned to the coach third base from 2017-19.
Recently, he spent five seasons coaching with Baltimore Oriols before going to the end of the 2024 campaign.
