The blunt message of Mumbai cricket Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer on the T20 League: “We strongly expect them …”

India’s Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma is determined with the MCA as the Ambassador of the T20 Mumbai League, who hopes that other stars of the city such as Shreyas Iyer and Suryakumar Yadav will make themselves available for the event that was stopped for the Kovid -19 Pandic after two versions. The league was held in 2018 and 2019, before the epidemic gave birth to its suspension. Rohit has retired from T20 International, but continues to play in IPL.

Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dubey, Tushar Deshpande and Prithvi Shaw are some popular Mumbai players. Test opener Yashasvi Jaiswal moved to Goa a few days ago. Most of them are currently busy with their IPL commitments. The MCA (Mumbai Cricket Association) event will not start before the IPL conclusion on 25 May.

An MCA official told PTI, “We have not made them mandatory to play, but we strongly expect to play in the T20 Mumbai League. Their participation will only help Mumbai cricket grow, and will benefit the players and the league.”

Rohit will be present at an event to announce the league on Friday.

It has also been learned that the MCA is considering a salary of Rs 15 lakh for “icon players” in the competition.

MCA received more than 2,800 entries for the incident.

The tournament will include eight teams in which two new sides will be announced soon.

Other six teams are North Mumbai Panthers, Arcs Andheri, Triumph Nights Mumbai North East, Namo Bandra Blasters, Eagle Thane Strikers and Akash Tigers Mumbai Western Saberbes.
