TGL announced the motor city expansion team for 2027

TGL is expanding seven teams in 2027, which represents Detroit in addition to the Motor City Golf Club.
TMRW Sports and TGL CEO and founder Mike McCarley announced on Tuesday.
The Motor City GC Ownership Group is led by Central West Partners and Principal Michael Hamp, Peter Hamp and Kevin Kelher. HAMP families have long been the co-owner of Detroit Lions of NFL.
Michael Hamp said, “This is a great moment for Detroit sports and is a proud moment for me personally.”
“My grandfather, William Clay Ford Senior, was a fond Chawla golfer, and I believe that bringing a new format of the game he loved will really make him proud. I am incredibly grateful to our partners in MCGC – this is a respect for making this team together.
The ownership group consists of Rob Walton, the owner of Denver Bronchos and Jordan Rose, president and founder of Rose Law Group.
“Detroit is a magnificent game city. The city has a championship heritage and the Detroit fans are emotional about their teams and they will tell you,” McKarley said. “The ownership group for the Motor City Golf Club will use its deeper relations for the community and as the owners of the NFL team to create a TGL team as a comprehensive expertise, which symbolizes the love of the culture and golf for the game. The inauguration season of TGL has created widespread interest in its expansion process and we make widespread interests in the form of ownership.
The 2027 season will be the third for the Tech-Infused Team Golf League established by Tiger Woods and Rory McClayoy.
Atlanta Drive GC won the inauguration 2025 competition held at Sophie Center at Palm Beach Garden, Fla.
