South Africa captain Temba Bavuma has called Australia led by Pat Cummins to use the “Chockers” tag in his second innings of the World Test Championship (WTC) at Lord’s.Bavuma told reporters after the match, “When we were batting, we could listen to the Australian using that dreaded word: Chok,” Bavuma told reporters after the match.“We came with a lot of faith and a lot of doubt. We took ourselves to the finals, and were about to doubt the route we have taken. This victory is squash. Here is an opportunity for us as a nation, as we are to unite.”Bavuma said that he hoped that winning the mess for the Best Test Nation will pick up a Test cricket profile in South Africa, where no Test match has been set for the upcoming 2025-26 domestic season.“We want to play more Test cricket,” he said. “We want to play against big countries. So I think it will set a long way to make us too attractive-and the so-called small nations.”The first black African expert batsman to play Test cricket for Proteas said that his side was inspired by South Africa’s Springbox, who won four rugby World Cups – including two most recent tournaments.
