What happened in TNPL 2025 final?
Batting first in the contest, Tiruppur Tamizhans got off to an explosive start, with openers Amit Sathvik (65) and Tushar Raheja (77) stitching together a 121-run partnership. Contributions from the middle-order batters allowed the side to set a massive 221-run target for the Dragons to chase down.
In the run-chase, captain Ashwin failed to replicate his heroics with the bat from the previous games. He managed to score just 1 run before he was dismissed. Impact player Atul Vitkar (24) was the top-scorer for the side in the final. The rest of the batters perished for single-digit scores while only three of them managed to get to double-digit scores but did not cross 20 runs.
Eventually, Dindigul Dragons were bowled out for just 102 runs. Tushar Raheja was named the Player of the Match.
