The Trevor Story abolished the 15-game home-cum-streak and Boston Red Sox defeated Atlanta Braves 5–1 on Friday in his three-game series opener to stop its season-long five-game skid.
The story hit his seven -run homer, his seventh in the fourth innings to give Boston an edge. The shot was taken at a distance of 431 feet and was his first domestic run since May 10.
Boston’s starter Lucas Giolito played 4 2/3 innings and allowed a run on five hits, two walks and three strikeouts. He recorded only one correct innings and survived troubles in the fourth innings when he allowed the first two runners to arrive before retiring the next three, allowing Ronald Ekun Junior to end the danger.
The winning pitcher was the Garat Witrock (4–0), the second of the five relievers used by Red Sox. He played 1 2/3 scorer innings.
Atlanta Starter Grant Holmes (3-4) played 5 2/3 innings and gave three runs on six hits, a walk and nine strikes with a high level of his career.
Brews scored a run in the first innings, when Matt Olson sang Ekuna in a right field to score. Throwing from Wlyer Abreu defeated Acuna in a plate, but took a strange hop and bouncing the mask of Catcher Carlos Narwaz.
After the story of the story in the fourth, Boston added a run in the sixth innings. Narwaz doubled and scored on the double of Abraham Toro which jumped from the base of the right area. Toro, who had three hits, hit 10 out of their last 12 matches.
Braves scored in the seventh when the story performed a great drama at the shortstop, but threw it wildly on the base, allowing a run to score a run. But the call was overturned when a video challenge revealed that Toro had laid a toe on the first basis, which had abolished the innings.
Rafael Davors added a single two -run single in the ninth innings, making him 33 RBI for May, one of his personal best for a month set in 2019.
