As the enthusiasm builds up for the much-awaited T20 Mumbai League 2025, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) announced a star-staded line-up of icon players, which is in the headlines by India’s stars Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane. T20 Mumbai League, one of India’s leading franchise-based domestic T20 tournaments, returns to a six-year break with the third edition at the Wankhed Stadium in Mumbai from 26 May to 8 June. All eight players have represented India at the highest level, which highlights the extraordinary depth of talent within the Mumbai cricket pipeline.
“We are happy to unveil eight icon players, who have taken immense pride in Mumbai with their performance on both domestic and international platforms. They represent the spirit, heritage and excellence of Mumbai cricket. Their presence will not only inspire them and work as a valuable learning opportunity for them, who are also preferring those players who are committed to the next production of India. “MCA President Ajinkya Naik said.
Each franchise will be allowed to select an icon player as part of its squad, adding both experiences and star power to their line-ups. MCA will soon announce the auction date.
In its previous versions, the T20 Mumbai League has served as a proven platform for emerging talent, giving young cricketers an opportunity to demonstrate their skills with some of the most established names of the game. The upcoming season has seen a huge response with more than 2800 players registration.
The T20 Mumbai League will include eight franchises: North Mumbai Panthers (Horizon Sports India Private Limited), Arcs Andheri (Arcs Sports and Entertainment Private Limited), Trime Nights Mumbai North East (Transcon Trime Knights Private Limited), Namo Bandra Blasters (PK Sports Vives Limited) Saber Sobo Mumbai Falcons (Roadways Solutions India Infra Limited) and Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals (Royal Age Sports and Entertainment) with two new teams with Star Premier League LLP).
