Suryakumar Yadav etched his name in the record books with yet another T20 masterclass on Monday. During the PBKS vs MI game, Surya went past 25 for the 14th consecutive T20 game. That mark set a world record, going past South Africa’s Temba Bavuma who managed 13.

Suryakumar Yadav has been synomous with consistency this season. The Mumbai Indians superstar has scored more than 25 in every single IPL 2025 game this season. India’s T20I skipper now has scored more than 25 in 14 consecutive games, breaking Temba Bavuma’s record. Bavuma had 13 games between 2019-20 where he scored more than 25. SKY now has 14 games under his belt, helping Mumbai Indians clinch an IPL 2025 playoffs berth.

Surya’s run is also the most times a batter has score 25 or more in an IPL season. Gujarat Titans star Shubman Gill and Kane Williamson shared the previous record, scoring 25+ in 13 games in a season.
