Chicago Stars FC fired the second year head coach Lorne Donaldson after the start of 1-5–0.
The first assistant coach, Masaki Hemy, was named interim head coach on Wednesday. Hemy stars are the fifth head coaches – acting or permanent – from 22 November. 2021.
“We are grateful to Lorne Donaldson for honor of culture, respect and self-confidence,” said the stars general manager Richard Fauz. “We appreciate their work and wish him all the best for the future.”
In December 2023, the stars hired Donaldson, then 68, hopefully, the former head coach of the Jamaica women’s national team can turn around a franchise that has not won the playoff game since 2021.
