Stars Fire Peter Debor after exiting 3 Strait West Finals

Dallas Stars fired head coach Peter Debor on Friday, when his team losing in the final of the Western Conference for the third straight season a week after.

Deor, 56, posted a record of 149–68–29 during a regular session, although the stars fell in six matches in 2023 and Vagas Golden Nights fell into Admonton Olers in six and five matches in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

Deborer caught fire to pull the standout goalkeeper Jake Ottinger, later on 29 May in Game 5, after scoring two goals at the first two shots to face Edmonton in a season-ending 6-3 setback in the season-ending 6-3 setback.

“After carefully considering, we believe that a new voice is required in our locker room to push the Stanley Cup closer to our goal,” said Star’s General Manager Jim Nil. “We want to thank Pete for everything that he has helped to achieve our organization in the last three sessions and it has nothing to do except to move forward.”

Debor has posted 662-447–152 coaching records with Florida Panthers, New Jersey Devils, San Jose Shark, Golden Nights and Stars. He directed the Devils in the final of the Stanley Cup in 2012 and placed the shark in the final in 2016.
