Los Angeles Angels Shortstop Zach NETO will start his season against San Francisco veterans on Friday night after being active from the 10-day list.

Neto slipped his shoulder in the previous season on 26 September, slipping during a game against Chicago White Socks. He underwent shoulder surgery in early November.

Neto told reporters before Friday’s game, “This is probably the closest thing for my debut and to get that call, just coming here and all it started again.” “You know that I am excited to come back and I am excited to work with people again.”

Angels determined that Neto had prepared after playing in the back-to-back games at Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday and Wednesday. He is ranked seventh in Friday’s lineup.

“That is fine,” Angels manager Ron Washington said before Friday’s game. “Yesterday was hit on the wrist, but he is fine. So far, it’s so good. He is at the place where he should be.”

Neto led Angels with 77 RBI and 30 stolen in the previous season and finished second with 23 Homer and 70 runs playing 155 games. He was easily the best player of the team with 5.1 wins above the replacement, which was much higher than the left -handed Tyler Anderson (3.0) and number 2 aggressive players, Logan O’Hope (2.7).

The 24 -year -old was the 13th overall pick in the 2022 draft and was the first player of that class to reach Major when he was returned in April 2023.

Angels are definitely happy to return to Neto. Phil-in Tim Anderson (.171) and Kevin Pneumon (.136) are poorly done.

In addition, Infielder Nikki Lopez (0 -for -6) was nominated for assignment. The 30-year-old Lopez is a career with four teams .247 hitter, especially from 2019-23, Cansus City Royals.
