Stallians stop in OT for the first win of the Shobot season

After Birmingham Stallians tied the game on a late touchdown, the visiting memphis showobots raised their first win in overtime on Friday night, 24–20.
Shobots (1-4) had a chance to win in regulation, but Matt Koglin was widespread over the 57-yard field-grown attempt. In three overtime formats, Shobot completed a pair of two-point conversions, while Stallian (3–2) was emptied.
Stallian Quarterback Case, which was 15-for-33 for 145 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, found Marlon Williams with 25 seconds on the 6-yard touchdown pass. Kukus then hit Jess Sternberger for a two-point conversion to tie the game to 20-all.
Shobots jumped with an 11–0 lead, which was highlighted in the first quarter by Dresser Winn (17 out of 29 for 235 yards) to 78-yard touchdown pass. Memphis led half to 17–3, when Isiah Heney took the ball 108 yards for the score after a missed field goal in the second quarter.
Kukus was associated with Jordan Thomas for the first TD of Stallians in the third on the 33-yard score, then the teams did a field goal in the fourth, before the late heroines of Kukas forced overtime.
