Sri Lanka gets a ‘power hitter expert “to train teams in a long session of the week.

Sri Lanka has continued to help improve its teams as they have so far announced another training program, starring by a pre-re-star star.
Sri Lanka Cricket have decided to rope in yet another former international star to do a week-long training session for the men and the women teams. Earlier in May, former India bowling coach Bharat Arun held a 14-day camp for the Sri Lankan cricketers. Sri Lanka men’s team recently created a record by winning their 8th consecutive ODI series after defeating Bangladesh at home.
Sri Lanka hire power-hitting specialist
As per a Sri Lanka Cricket release, the Julian Wood-held camp will take place between July 30 and August 5. The former England cricketer will work closely with the national coaches ” to help players sharpen their hitting techniques and improve their overall power game”, the statement read.
“Sri Lanka Cricket decided to obtain the services of power-hitting specialist Julian Wood to conduct a week-long training program aimed at enhancing the power-hitting skills of both the men’s and women’s national players. The program, which will run from 30th July to 5th August, will see Wood working closely with the National Coaches to help players sharpen their hitting techniques and improve their overall power game,” the statement read.
Wood has previously been a part of the support staff of various County clubs, IPL franchise PBKS, and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). He will now work in close quarters with Sri Lanka, both men’s and women’s, to refine their skills ahead of marquee tournaments that are lined up.
“This initiative is part of Sri Lanka’s ongoing preparations for key international competitions, including the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the Asia Cup, and other international assignments,” the statement read.
