Sporting Casey wants the first win in Colorado since 2014

Sporting Cancas City will be trying to snap a decade -long winner streak on Friday night, when it will face colloorado rapids in colloo, collo.
Sporting CC (5–10-5, 20 points) is 0-6-5 in its last 11 trips at Sporting Goods Park since 3–2 win on March 29, 2014. Out of the last seven matches, five out of five matches have ended in one draw, but the Rapids won the rallies to win the previous year’s competition, which was also played from July 2, 2–1.
Interim head coach Kerry Zavaginin was asked whether mile-high height could play a factor in the lack of success of his team. SKC Colorado has only 5-20-13 all-time.
“This is a proper point,” Zavagnin said. “I think there are some things that you have to use at height. It doesn’t really want to make a big deal than it. … (this) a place where you need to get your second air. Usually you get it through warm-up.
“I don’t hope that our group will be with low energy during 90 minutes. Some people who have never played at that height may never feel for a minute. We have no worries that we will not be able to compete at a high level.”
The SKC ranks 12th at the Western Conference, six points behind Austin FC for the final playoff spots, and last Saturday comes into a 1–1 draw with Real Salt Lake. Ever since Zavagnin took over for Peter Worms after the start of 0-5-1, the SKC was reduced to 5-5-4.
Colorado (7-8-5, 26 points) ranks eighth in a crowded Western Conference, which is just four points behind Portland Timbers in the fourth place in the race to host the first round home playoff chain.
Rapids’ head coach Chris Armas said, “Obviously a big game is coming for us, what the three points will mean, especially (especially) at home on the fourth day of July,” said Chris Armas, the head coach of the Rapids.
Colorado’s defender Regi cannon and Cance City Midfielder Jake Davis will remember the game due to suspension. SKC will also be due to injuries due to midfielder Nemenja Radoja (Quad) and Defenders Den Rosero (ankle), Robert Voloder (Clavical) and Logan Neden (Hamstring). However, the defender returns to SKC from Gold Cup duty with Jorhan Basong Canada.
Rapids live without goalkeeper Zack Stephen (knee surgery) and will not have defender Sam Wine (Grin).
