Special tribute to BCCI to Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar




In a special tribute to India’s two most famous cricketing icons, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has dedicated two rooms to its office in Mumbai, Maharashtra to Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar. The newly designated rooms were officially inaugurated in a ceremony both legends, as well as with several senior BCCI officials. BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla was present at the event on Tuesday and later took him to social media to share his feelings.

The presence of Tendulkar and Gavaskar in the BCCI office made the opportunity even more memorable. Earlier, Rajiv Shukla praised Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who announced his retirement from Test cricket on Wednesday, saying he had contributed significantly to Indian cricket.

“Rohit Sharma has contributed a lot to Indian cricket. He has decided to retire from Test cricket. Our policy is that the retirement from any format of the game depends entirely on the player. We do not put any pressure on anyone or never ask them to retire. They would have thought of their decisions.”

He said, “He has led the Indian Test team very well. He has contributed a lot in Indian cricket. We will always remember his hard work. He has also said that he will continue to play one day. It’s a good thing. It’s a good thing. I think he is a very good player. He still has a lot of cricket and a lot of power,” he said.
