Sparks not unbeaten in the battle of sparks host links led by Calcie Plum

Minnesota Links and Los Angeles Sparks enjoyed a season-opening win on Friday, including steller performances from their star players.
However, only one of these teams will start season 2–0 as Minnesota visits Los Angeles for a tipoff late Sunday afternoon.
Sparks host their home opener for the 84-67 victory on the road against Golden State Volcaries on Friday night. Los Angeles pulled away with a strong second half in which he dropped the Golden State from 42-28.
The next sparks have a difficult test, whose fans will first see the Kelcy Plum in their new home uniform. Plum started its sparks on Friday and finished with 37 points to go with six assistance and a team-high five stolen. Her scoring outburst set a WNBA record for most points in a season opener.
Plum is eager to maintain its successful start against Minnesota.
“I mean, I imagined winning (starting my team),” Plum said after Friday’s victory. “It was an incredible atmosphere. You know, to do a lot of work, but yes it was really fun. I like to play basketball.”
The same is true for Links’ top scorer Neeffa Kolier. Colier scored 34 points in his season opener – who temporarily tied the WNBA record for most points in a opener – and would try to exclude the plum in the WNBA superstar’s battle.
Kolier said that he and his companions would try to get better in their second game.
“Celebrating the victory? Always,” Kolier said on Friday after defeating the Dallas Wings. “It is very good to win. But we see places that we need to improve.”
Team’s fellow courtney Williams agreed.
“This is a game,” Williams said. “In the locker room, we said, ’43 and.”
After the plum, the top three scorer of the sparks entering on Sunday is Deerica Hambi (14 points per game), Rikia Jackson (13) and Azura Stevens (11). Hambi led the team with 10 rebounds in the season’s opener.
For Links, Williams ended the Kolier with 25 points in Friday’s opener. Jessica Shepard (15 points) and Diamond Miller (13) also hit double points.
The most recent meeting of the teams was held on 19 September, when Sparks pulled away for a 68–51 victory in Minianpolis.
