Sparks (6–14) have not won in their home court from 25 May when they sent Chicago Sky 91-78. In the beginning of Thursday, there were hopes that Skid could be denied, but Minnesota Links increased the pressure in the 91-82 win.
The Sparks jumped with a 11-point first-coastal lead, but lost advantage for good in the second as they fell 2–7 since June 14. Kelsey Plum scored a team-Best 17 points with season-hai 12 Assist.
In its first season with Los Angeles, the plum leads the team with 19.9 points per game.
In his third game with Sparks, after nine with the Golden State Volcaries of this season, Julie Vanlu scored a season-high 15 runs. Vanalu was forgiven by Valkiris on 1 July and claimed by Sparks two days later.
“(Plum) told me: ‘When you are open, shoot (and) play with confidence,” said Vanlu. “Shout for him. He gave me some great passes. I am ready to shoot and I am ready to help the team where I can, and I can really get hot soon. That’s what I am known for it, and I am happy that I can do it today.”
The Sun (3–17) ended the 93-83 win at home on Seattle Storm on Wednesday, ending a franchise-10-game. But the teams again met in Seattle on Friday and the storm rebounded for a 79-65 win.
Tina Charles scored 20 points with 10 assistance for the connectivat on Friday, when she gave 29 points with 11 rebounds in the first win. They were the second and third double-dabbles of the season for the experienced 16 WNBA season.
Charles also passed an 8,000 -point plateau in the defeat, after the league’s all -time major scorer Diana Raksi became the second to do so. He has 8,010.
Sun Ruki Suniya rivers elevated their season with 12 points. Connecticut played her seventh consecutive game without a second-wise scorer Marina Mabry (15.2 points), out of June 20 with a knee injury.
Charles said, “It is always difficult to live together on the road, but I like the progress we (Friday).” “We had some empty assets that we can clean. Here and there missed some defensive plans.”
