Seattle Forward Jesus Ferrera believes that no one can match the sounders on the pitch of their home.
“We know that at home, no one can compete with our fans and with our playing style,” said Ferrera.
Seattle will put on Sunday to test again when he will host the Columbus crew in a complicated competition between two of the top teams at MLS.
Seattle (8-6-5, 29 points) sat on the fifth place in the waste table after vacating Austin FC 2-0 on 28 June. Ferreira gave results with a goal in the second minute of the first half stoppage time and a support pair on Danny Mussovski’s target in the 54th minute.
This was a tough victory for the sounders. They lost five directly in all the competitions, going 0–3 in the club World Cup, while mixing at the loss of regular season in Minnesota and Vancouver, who saw him scoring three goals in each match.
Midfielder Albert Russian, who has scored a team-high seven goals, says Seattle will have to be ready for Columbus’ style of playing.
“This is not the same, but they have a lot of similarities,” he said. “It makes it easy to predict but you still have to defend it. In some ways, it sounds like a measuring stick game.”
The crew (10–3–7, 37 points) last played on 29 June, with a sound defensive attempt in Philadelphia’s 1–0 domestic shutout. He did not allow a shot on the frame and disappointed the Sangh to get six yellow cards.
Mohammad Persian achieved the only goal of stability just before Haftime as Columbus reached fourth place in the east. The team may be strong at the team back end to start the goalkeeper Patrick Shult.
Shruart suffered injury on 24 May during a pregem drill in Charlotte. Ivan Bush has filled well, but coach Wilfred Nancy is eager to return to Shulte, who has posted two clean sheets in 13 starts.
“Everything is good,” Nancy said. “He has no pain.”
