Sonny gray, cardinals blank dodgers in series opener

Sunny Gray and three Relievers jointly defeated St. Louis Cardinals 5–0 on a shutout on a shutout to Los Angeles Dojers on Friday night.

Gray (7–1) worked in 6 1/3 innings, with eight hits permission, while no one was running out of five. Jojo Romero, Phil Maton and Steven Matz took it from there, and Los Angeles finished 1 -for -13 with runners in a scoring position.

Pedro pages hit the two -run homer and Wilson Contraras added a single shot to the cardinals. Brendon Donovan hit a two -run single, and Nolan Aranado went to 3 -for -4 with one run.

Dozers’ Starter Justin Vroblsky (1-2) scored four runs on six hits and three runs in six innings. He hit five.

By taking the three-game series opener, St. Louis won the five matches for the second time. Los Angeles lost their fourth in six matches.

After the rains, 1 hour, 17 minutes were delayed for 17 minutes, Muki Bates hit an out-out in the first innings. However, Gray hit Freddy Freeman and retired Tosser Hernandez on a groundout.

In the second innings, Dozers again threatened. Andy Page and Michael Conforto hit one single each before the next two batsmen of Gray retired.

Cardinals took a 2–0 lead in their half innings on the single by the fifth homer of the Arenado and Pedro pages.

Gray rescued trouble again in the third innings, retiring three straight hits after Shohi Ohtani and Bates and hit a single to open the frame.

St. Louis made its difference 4–0 in the fifth innings. Wrobleski Pedro Page and Larse went to Nutbar, and a groundout upgraded the runners, before Donovan hit two-outs, two runs single to center.

Hernandez hit an out-out double in the sixth innings. Andy Page reached the two-out infield single, but Conforto came out to end the danger.

Bates led the eighth innings with Singal and moved in third place on the Double of Freeman. Maton gave relief to Romero and closed the rally, taking out Hernandez and Max Munsi before taking out Andy pages.

Contraras made it in the eighth innings, in its seventh part of the year, 5–0.
