“Some great donations …”: East-India Star exploded Rajasthan Royals to invest in youth

Rajasthan Royals are conducting a forgetful campaign in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After losing six of their eight matches so far, RR has been posted in the eighth position in the points table. His last two necklaces were the most heartbreaking because the Rajasthan -based franchise lost the game in close encounters. Apart from losing the games, RR also suffered a shock as his captain Sanju Samson suffered a chest injury against DC and remembered the LSG match. In his absence, young batsman Ryan Parag led the team.

Given RR’s defeat in the ongoing season, former India batsman Ambati Rayudu criticized the inaugural champion for investing in young players every year.

“This is always the question in my mind when it comes to RR: They have invested so much in the youth for years. What they have become out of it? It has been 17 years because they have won the IPL, and they always show as if it is their strength. It is some great donation that they are doing for sports.

“You are here to win the IPL, and there are ways that the teams have adopted to win the IPL, and you don’t follow any of them. You have your own way, and you justifies it for years. And you want people to come on the board and appreciate you for a good team that you have a good opportunity in the IPL,” said.

Former South Africa wicketkeeper Mark Boucher, who was also part of the conversation, also agreed with Rayudu’s statement.
