Sneh Rana, Pratika Rawal star as India Clin as 15 runs over South Africa

Spinner Sneh Rana caught three wickets in the same over for his first five wickets on Vodis, while Pratika Rawal on Tuesday excelled with a well-designed fifty-fifty-designed fifty to shape India’s 15-run win in women’s Tri-Series. Rawal continued his rich vein with 78 measured by scoring 78 off 91 balls, helping India to post a competitive 276 for six, as Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was selected to bat first under the sunny sky. Rana then took five wickets, as South Africa was dropped for 261 in 49.2 overs despite Tazmin Brits 109. South Africa lost their last five wickets for 21 runs, leading India to the second consecutive win in the tournament.

The experienced off-spinner ended with figures of 5/43. He bowled a significant bowling in the 48th over, took three wickets, while giving just three runs.

Chasing a challenging clan, South Africa pulled out all guns, which brought India back to chasing India.

Brites did adverse positions and cramps to score a gritty 108 off 105 balls. He and Captain Laura Volvardt put up a commanding 140-run opening stand together, threatening to take the game away.

But when there was a decisive speed in favor of South Africa, India’s spinners replaced the tide.

Seized from Deepti Sharma (1/40), broke the stand in the 28th over, trappeing the Volvard leg and with a pitch out with one. Soon Rana bowled Lara Gudol (9) to pursue the game in India’s favor.

Brites registered their third ODI century and followed it with back-to-back boundaries.

However, she was hurt as she was cramping, leaving South Africa with two new batsmen at the crease.

Given an inauguration, captain Kaur brought to Arundhati Reddy (1/59) and right -handed pacer immediately removed Karbo Messo.

Left-arm spinner Mr. Charani (1/51) then dismissed experienced Luus, who was caught in Deep Midwick, as India made a hold on the match.

With nine touching run rates, Cloe Tyron and Anini Durkson tried to accelerate, but Rana attributed them to both and Nadin de Clack and Brites, who returned to the 48th over, to complete a memorable five wicket-hall.

Earlier, after scoring a fluent fifty in the initial game, Rawal hit seven borders and a six during the knock made by him.

He and Smriti Madhana (36) gave India a concrete start, scoring 83 runs in 18.3 overs for the initial wicket. Mandhana played a supporting role, allowing Yuva Rawal to take the lead.

The partnership was eventually broken in the 19th over when Anneeri Durkson’s bowling was caught by wicketkeeper Karbo Messo on the leg side.

Harlen Deol then scored 29 runs in 47 delivery and added 68 runs with Rawal for the second wicket, before bowling by left hand spinner Nonkuleko Mlaba.

Rawal, who brought his fifth ODI to fifty, set it for each other, before Mlaba cleaned it.

Despite the shock, the middle order fired with Harmanpreet Kaur (41), Jemimah Rodrigues (41), and Richa Ghosh (24), making all valuable contributions, pushing India towards a challenging clan. PTI APA at et
