Sky look to shock links again in second game of back-to-back

Chicago Akash defeated WNBA-Agni Minnesota Links for his most notable win in the disappointing season. Repeating that feat would be even more impressive.

For a season-high third consecutive win on Monday night, Akash will try to take down the links in Chicago for the second time in three days.

At the bottom half of the league standing, Chicago (7–13) took a 14-point lead during a loss of 80–75 in Minnesota on 6 July. Akash won 87–76 on Dallas a night later in Washington on Tuesday, with a two-point loss.

On Saturday, Chicago did not ruin the 57-44 HafTime lead, while shooting 46.1 percent and with its 87-81 win over Links (18-4), with a total of 45–28 rebounding benefits for a little peback with a little peback.

Sky Star Angel Reeses said, “Either you come out and show, or you don’t,” had 19 points with 11 rebounds on Saturday, and Tina Charles joined at least 40 double-dabbles in her first two sessions.

Chicago’s Loan All-Star Reese has an average of 17.6 points and 15.5 boards in the last eight matches.

Ariel Atkins (14.5 PPG) added 27 points and Kamila Cardso on Saturday with 15 rebounds for Chicago, which is 4-4 at home.

Chicago coach Tyler Marsh said, “I think the part of being a good team is being able to repeat when we have (games like Saturday).”

This will not be easy, given that Minnesota has not lost a back-to-back game this season. However, after winning five in a row, Links dropped two of the three.

Minnesota’s coach Cheryl Reev has hoped that his team is expected to respond to Bell in this rematch, especially the first half, after being severely outplay on Saturday. Links made 10 3-pointers and showed a fight in the second half, but overall shooting 39.5 percent from the ground.

“(Chicago) had the will to win,” Reeve said.

“We can’t show. Can’t be ready to compete. … Working hard is not an adjustment.”

After scoring 21 against The Sky last week, Links Star and League scoring leader Neeffa Kolier (23.6 PPG) fell from 26 on Saturday. He also recorded eight rebounds, five aids, three theft and three blocks.
