Shubman Gill indicates in additional spinner in Birmingham, suspense Kuldeep Yadav

Shubman Gill confirmed that India is considering another spinner in Edgbaston. But kept the lid on the spin combination.
The India cricket team will have a rare opportunity in the IND vs ENG 2nd Test when they go with two spinners in England. Gill admitted that an additional spinner in Leeds would have helped in the fourth innings. And learning from that, India is likely to go with two spinners in Edgbaston. However, Captain Shubman Gill has placed suspense on the second Twicker. There are three spinners at his disposal in India – Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar.
Jadeja did not have a great time for the most time in Leeds. Along with Kuldeep, India may have to sacrifice a pacer to accommodate Chinaman. If Bharat goes with Washington Sundar, it is likely that Jadeja will be released from playing with India.
“We felt in the leads that an additional spinner would help in the flow of runs, especially in the third or fourth innings. We will call this evening after assessing the pitch once. I don’t think it will be a direct swap, but it will change the combination. We have decided on the spinner, but want to see the pitch,” Shubman Gill said at the pre-match press conference before the IND vs Engbaston Test.
Who are two spinners of India?
Ravindra Jadeja bowled 47 overs in two innings in Headingly, but could take only one wicket. Although he was used as a holding spinner, he scored at the rate of 4.30 economy in the second innings. It was far from being defensive. With the bat, Jadeja can only score 11 and 25, making India’s batting no cushion.
While Washington Sundar was not attempted and tested in England, his recent form could help Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir take decisions. Beautiful can bat for a long time. He scored a half -century in Melbourne, with a 127 -run stand with Nitish Reddy for the eighth wicket. But to come to him, India will have to leave Jadeja, which has fought late in army countries.
Another option about which everyone is Kuldeep Yadav. He also has the support of former England captain Kevin Pietersen, who worked with him at Delhi Capital. Even former India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has supported him to feature him in the IND vs Engbaston Test.
“Kuldeep Yadav has to play. If there is not too much grass, Kuldeep will have to play. Anyone leave what you want, but Kuldeep will have to play. If he plays, England’s tail will not score many runs. Kuldeep will help you win 2-3 tests in the series because he will create problems,” Ashwin said on his YouTube channel, Ash ki baat,
