Shubman Gill in Future Fab 4? East -India Keeper says “No doubt about this” –

East-India wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani has said that Shubman Gill is bound to be a part of future Fab 4 after his heroes in 2 Tests.
Former India wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani reckons that Shubman Gill is surely a part of the future Fab 4. His remarks come after the Indian captain’s double century and a 150 in the ENG vs IND 2nd Test, becoming the second Indian after Sunil Gavaskar to achieve the unique feat. The Fab 4 previously comprised of four stalwarts – Steve Smith, Virat Kohli, Joe Root and Kane Williamson.
Gill surely in future Fab 4
During a discussion on Sony Sports, Kirmani opined that there was no doubt that Gill will be a part of the future Fab 4. He said that the Indian captain never looked like he was stuck in the crease in England, adding that precision in footwork is possible only when the batter picks up the length early.
“Precision in footwork will come only when you pick the length very early. That’s what I have liked the most about Shubman Gill in this series. It never seemed like he got stuck on the crease. We keep talking about who would be the future Fab Four. I feel you can write his name in that for sure, there is no doubt about that,” Kirmani said.
The ex-India keeper dubbed Gill’s knocks as flawless. Kirmani explained how the Indian captain had structured his innings according to the team’s needs.
“When he scored a double century in the first innings as well, it seemed like he didn’t face any difficulties. Today (Saturday), it was required to score runs slightly faster, so I think his strike rate was higher by at least 10 or 15. So he scored runs as per the situation and the team’s demand. We are repeatedly calling it a flawless knock due to the precision of his footwork,” Kirmani added.
