IPL 2025 Playoff played a squad selection role in India?
According to news agency IANS, the BCCI had allegedly advised the selectors to avoid chaos by picking up a squad on the basis of players whose team was out or there was no possibility of making it in the IPL 2025 playoffs. If this is true, it explains why the choice of Shreyas and Arshdeep was not selected, while members like Ishaan Kishan, Dhruv Jurael and Ruturaj Gikwad were included.

It is worth noting that according to the revised IPL 2025 schedule, qualifiers 1 and 2 will be played on 29 May and 1 June respectively. Eliminator will be played on 30 May.
