Showing England “Tameez”! Listen to Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul’s fun chat during the headingley test

Unlike the normal strange ball out of the park itself, Pant has shown immense restraint while batting in the middle in both innings.

Rishabh Pant is perhaps the most entertaining Test cricketer going around. While his stroke rate is enough to claim the title itself, his chatter from behind the stumps and batting just seals the tag for him. Last year, Pant was heard instructing Bangladesh where to place fielders to restrict him. Even the commentators couldn’t hold back their laughter.

Pant showing England bowler’s respect

Despite Team India being in a tough spot, Pant can’t stop from being his usual self. Batting in the middle with KL Rahul, Pant was heard talking about his batting approach on Day 4 in Headingley.

“Pakki V wali ball, itna tameez ki chakkar meh chutt rakhi hai,” Pant told Rahul during the first session. For those unable to understand Hindi, the wicketkeeper batter was trying to tell his batting partner that because he’s playing with a defensive mindset due to the situation, he’s missing boundary balls that are pitched up to hit in front of the wicket (mid-on and mid-off).

Curbing his natural instinct

Pant was heard talking to himself as well. Speaking in Hindi again, Michael Atherton and Naseer Hussain asked Dinesh Karthik to translate for them in the commentary box.

“If I play with a straight bat, I can still middle it. Don’t try to do too much. He was almost talking to himself, saying he doesn’t need to do anything out of the ordinary. He was pretty disappointed with how he was playing,” Karthik told his colleagues.
