After celebrating A’aza Wilson Milestone on Wednesday, the Las Vegas Aces will try to win a win for the Washington mystics on Thursday night.
Wilson made a history of WNBA in the Aces’s 85–59 win over the connectic sun with a 22-point performance, including his 5,000th Career Point. Wilson became the fastest to reach 5,000 plateau, doing it in his 238th game, which was four games faster than Breena Stewart.
28 -year -old Wilson is also the fastest and youngest player to reach 5,000 points with 2,000 ribounds, 500 assistance, 400 blocked shots and 200 stolen.
“It’s a blessing,” Wilson said on NBA network broadcast. “I have done my best to give everything to the game.”
And yet Wilson was equally happy about the protection of Las Vegas, which allowed Suraj to reduce a season for 32.4 percent shooting from the floor. Aces (7-7) forced five turnover in the first five minutes and took a 19–0 lead in less than 10 minutes in the game.
“First we have to rest something, then we have to continue to focus on the defensive end,” Wilson said. “We have a good mystic team coming. They are running and running guns and really playing well.”
Washington (7-8) is actually playing the best basketball of the season, which matches a season high with two consecutive wins. The most recent of them was an impressive win of 68-64 on the Minnesota Links on Tuesday, who entered the game with WNBA-Best 12–1 records.
Shakira Austin scored 19 points for Washington, which included two in the 6–0 run to shut down the game. Links, who were playing without nefesa colir, were 0 -for -2 from the floor with a turnover in the final 29.1 seconds.
Austin was 7 -for -18 from the ground with eight rebounds, three aids and two theft.
Washington coach Sydney Johnson said of Austin, “She has always been a talented personal player, but now you want to see, develop, join, develop it as a teammate.” “She is looking at the value to pass, being a part of what we are building. It shows how she handles double teams, how she picks up teammates, talks to her on the bench.”
Mistics Ruki Kiki Irafen collected 11 points and 11 rebounds for the fifth double-dobe of the season, while Sug Satton scored 12 points.
The major scorer of Mistic Brittany Cyx, which is average 19.6 per game, missed the game with a low leg injury on Tuesday.
