Tigers Ace Left-Hander Tariq Scubble valided his reputation as the top pitcher in the American League and won 7–0 over Baltimor Oriols on Sunday, which enabled Detroit to complete a season-live homestand 8–2.

Scubble threw six shutouts in the innings and recorded 11 strikeouts as the tigers capted the three-game sweeps of the Oriols. Now, they will be on a 10-game road trip starting on Monday with a three-game series opener against Houston Astro.

Tigers have won seven of their first nine series, reminiscent of their 1984 world series team, which did not lose a chain-they tied a two-game set in the month of April.

Tigers’ manager AJ Hinch said, “We continue the winning series, which is really important.” “If I am going to see this season as a whole, I try to break them into as much as I can do as I can. In this series, we have done a lot of things well. These people are really doing things that are helping us win.

“This is our identity because a team is capable of turning on the page and reaching the next series. And this is a big picture significance.”

Tigers Right-Hander Jack Fleharry (1-2, 2.63 ERA) has an initial assignment on Monday.

Flaherty wins in its last three starts, in 16 innings with 0-2 to 2.81 era and 22 strikes. Detroit was closed in its last two starts, including losing San Diego Padress 2–0 on Tuesday, when Fleharti allowed two runs on five hits, with a season high-tying with a high-tying nine strikeout.

Fleherti is 1-2 with 2.92 ERA on five career appearances (four beginnings) against Astro. He faced Houston twice in 2024, which is 1-1 with 2.31 ERA and 13 strikes in 11 2/3 innings. On June 15, Flaherty beat five shutout innings with six strikes and a walk in the 13–5 road win.

Right-handed Ronel Blanco (2-2, 5.01 ERA) series opener has a scheduled starter for Astro.

On Tuesday, Blanco made his best start for the season in a 5–1 domestic win over Toronto Blue Jas, scoring two runs on two hits and two runs with three strikes in season-high 6 2/3 innings. Blanco has won two of their last three starts, pitching up to 3.24 ERA during that stretch.

Blanco is 1-0 with 0.00 ERA on three career appearances (one beginning) vs. tigers. In his lonely initial against Detroit, Blanco rotated seven hitless innings and allowed three walks to record eight strikes in domestic runs on June 16, 2024.

Astro Slogger Yordon Alverez doubled and broke the three-run homer at the top of the third innings and resonated the conclusion of that three-game chain to take Houston to take Houston to win a 7-3 road win on the Cannes City Royals.

Alvarez has been in recession for a long time to start the season, with its 2 -for -4 efforts only increased its opes to .672. Astro hopes that Sunday represents the onset of a breakout.

“Even someone who has been successful as Yordon, you go through moments where you try to find your way,” Astro Manager Joe Espada said. “He is looking for his way all around, and he is starting to be comfortable in the box. This three-ri home run can actually start a long, successful stretch.”
