“Senior players are being removed”: Virat Kohli’s coach paints behind the test exit

Virat Kohli’s retirement from Test cricket shook the Indian cricket fraternity as many people expected to present him in the upcoming five -match Test tour of England. Kohli, even after India captain Rohit Sharma, announced that after a series of poor returns with the bat, decided to end his test career. Recent reports claim that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) did not ask Kohli to rethink his decision to retire, and was forced to leave the test instead.

However, Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma said that his magnificent ward has set an example leaving Test cricket when senior players are being removed.

“This retirement will be remembered for a very long time because when the whole country wants to play you and you are taking retirement. Kohli has also set an example because you do not see these retirement often in Indian cricket; it is often seen that senior players are being removed,” Rajkumar told the Sports Tack.

He said, “There is an example of Virat whether it is time or whatever the reason, he has thought. I appreciate his decision and feel proud of his contribution to Indian cricket. The passion he has for the country is unique,” he said.

The 36 -year -old red ball career changed India’s approach to test cricket. In 123 matches, he scored an average of 9,230 runs at 46.85, including 30 centuries and 31 centuries.

He kept a record of being India’s most successful Test captain, giving the team win 40 out of 68 matches.

From his debut in 2011 to becoming one of India’s most successful captains, Kohli’s 30 Test centuries made him the fourth-most successful Indian batsman, Sachin Tendulkar (51 hundreds), Rahul Dravid (36), and Sunil Gavaskar (34), the fourth most successful Indian batsman. Kohli also made seven Test double, so far time by an Indian. He also has hundreds of most tests by an Indian captain, with Gavaskar (11 centuries) behind his 20 tons.
