Send Nugets Game 3 by OT, hold 2-1 lead vs. Thunder

Jamal Murray scored 27 points, and hosts Denver Nagets dominated Oklahoma City Thunder 113–104 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarter Finals on Friday night and dominated overtime.

Nikola Jokik recalled all of her 3-point attempts and finished 8-for-25 from the ground, but finished with 20 points and 16 rebounds for the nuggets at night, leading the best chain from the best range 2–1.

Game 4 is Sunday afternoon in Denver.

Aaron Gordon scored 22 points, including a binding bucket in the last minute of regulation, and Michael Porter Junior ran the 5 -for -6 deep and finished with 21 points for the nuggets, which ended 39 -for -85 (45.9 percent) from the field.

Jalen Williams scored 32 points for Oklahoma City, which was 1 -for -7 from the ground in overtime with two turnover. Chet Holmagren had 18 points and 16 rebounds, Shai Gilgius-Alexander ended with 18 points and 13 rebounds and Yashaya Heartenstein had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Thunder, 40-for-104 (38.5 percent) from the field.

Jokik opened the overtime with a trimming and Porter dried the 3-pointer to make it 107–102. Williams missed a floater and had a turnover, causing Murray to be trimmed with 3:02.

Holmagren’s sting with 1:56 was the only basket in Oklahoma City’s overtime, and Nugets closed it.

Gilgus-Alexander moved from the ground 7-for-22, but placed the Thunder ahead 93–92, with its first 3-pointer at 7:33 fourth.

Oklahoma City led 95–93, when Murray divided a pair of free throw with 5:58, and both teams cools down from the field. Gilgus-Alexander recalled three straight shots and Denver tied it on Gordon’s two free throw with 4:26 remaining.

Williams took a trimmed and Murray tied it with two free throw at 97 and put Denver ahead with 17-foot, with 2:17 left.

Luguentz Dort returned Oklahoma City with a 3 -Pointer – his only point of night – Murray was called for a trip with 1:31 rest and Williams made a pair of free throw to make it 102-99.

Gordon’s 3-Poanter missed it 28 seconds, a floater in Gilgius-Alexander and sent it to overtime to Jokik’s 20-foot in Bazar.
