Since Covid-19 canceled the 2020 CFL season, Edmonton Elks has tried several coaches, several quarterbacks and all types of gimmicks to win the game continuously.

None of it have worked as a overall record of 18–53 and 5–30 home records attest.

Edmonton (0-3) will make another effort in his first win on Sunday night when it hosted Ottawa Redblack.

Elks shocked Vinnipag on the road on 27 June, but gave an unexpected 13-yard crowd for experienced quarterly quarterbacks Zach Colroros with 5:42, sealed the 36–23 necklace.

The first year of Edmonton coach Mark Kilam said, “We have got better in three consecutive weeks, but it is about winning and it is about doing things that we need to be better to be on the other side of this result.”

The disadvantage was ruined by a quarterback tray Ford, a solid performance, 18 out of 29 for 252 yards and a touchdown. His 68-yard strike for CON Julian-Grant returned to the third quarter, with 23–23 tie.

While Elks are demanding their first win, Ottawa (1-3) was denied his second direct win on June 29 when Toronto came to the city and decided 29–16. Redbalax also lost top receiver Bralon Edison from a shoulder injury that would keep him out of the next two matches at least.

The good news for Ottawa is that starting quarterbacks Drew Brown (hip) is set to return from the absence of three-game after being injured in a week’s loss in Suskechewan. Brown’s return only comes on time to go to the worst defense of the league. Edmonton has allowed at least 31 points in every game.

“It’s fantastic to see Drew and I felt that he was looking good,” Red -Lax coach Bob Dies said on Wednesday.

Dustin Krum and Matt Shiltz have divided the pivot duties in the absence of Brown, but two weeks ago, in the rain-soaked Calgary, outside the 20–12 victory, neither played well.
