Ishan Kishan Lucky?
BCCI’s list of central contracts has thrown a surprise with Ishan Kishan being included in Grade C. Young batsmen have not played for India since 2023, and their number does not justify the contract completely. In domestic cricket, questions are being raised about the criteria used for selection, along with other people affecting Karun Nair. Ishaan will have to face strict competition from the choice of Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Dhruv Jurlel and Jitesh Sharma, which will make their place uncertain in all three formats. Can he justify faith? Only their performances will tell. Read more here.
