The enthusiasm for Kerala’s leading T20 tournament has returned, and this time there is a major discussion. The Kerala Cricket League (KCL) season 2 is scheduled to be auctioned on Saturday, July 5 in Thiruvananthapuram as six franchises are ready to build their squads before the new season, which is closed from August 21 to September 6.
The biggest thing before the auction is it? Sanju Samson. India Star and Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain has officially dumped his name into the auction pool for the first time. Samson worked as a brand ambassador in the inaugural edition, but this year, he is ready to take the ground. Meanwhile, seeing India’s next white-ball series against Bangladesh, Samson is likely to be available for the full KCL season.
More than 170 players have registered for auction, which is divided into categories A, B, and C. There will be a purse of Rs 50 lakh to form its team in the franchise. IPL players like Vishnu Vinod, Abdul Bajith and Basil Thampi are also part of the auction pool.
