
San Diego FC signed goalkeeper CJ DOS Santos for an extension through 2027 with an option for 2028, the club announced on Thursday.
24 -year -old DOS Santos has recorded six clean sheets through 16 MLS matches with the expansion team this season.
Sporting Director Tyler Heips said in a news release, “CJ has been a significant presence for us on the field this season and in the locker room.”
“He is proving that he can be a starter in this league and can affect the game in and out of possession as he continues to develop and develop as a goalkeeper. We are excited to sign a new contract and are ready to contribute his continuous contribution as a main part of our roster.”
San Diego acquired DOS Santos in a December 1 -December trade with Inter Miami in lieu of $ 100,000 in general allocation funds of 2025. He made a debut for heron in both 2023 and 2024.
