The second place at the Western Conference will be for tombs when San Diego FC and Minnesota United closed the second part of their MLS season in St. Paul, Minan on Saturday night.

San Diego (9–5-3, 30 digits) and Minnesota United (8-3-6, 30 digits) enter the number 2 location in the west, five points behind the Vancouver Whitcaps of the first place.

San Diego has been one of the biggest surprises of the league in its expansion season, who won five of their last seven matches. However, the squad, possibly star winger hires “choki” will be without Lozano (five goals, six aids).

Lozano sent a 2–0 win over Austin FC on 31 May, the team’s last MLS match, with a hamstring injury that kept him away from Mexico’s Gold Cup roster.

Luka de la Torre, a midfielder of the US national team, scored his fourth goal of the year in the 60th minute, which proved to be a sports-winner against Austin, and Milan Illuski sealed it with a goal in the stop time.

San Diego scored a brace with Iloski at the Snapdragon Stadium last Saturday with the Liga MX Power Club America with a 3–0 win during the international break.

San Diego coach Mickey Varas said, “I know it is called a friendly. There is no such thing as a friendly.” “If you are going to put your shoes, you want to win the game. … Club America is a historically huge club. They come here, it doesn’t matter, we want to win the game.”

Minnesota United is unbeaten (2–0-2) in its last four matches and winning 3–2 over Seattle sounders on 1 June.

Minnesota won the competition in 10 road matches in the team’s history against the sounders, but won three times in eight minutes in the second half. Tani Oluwesi scored a brace and Robin Lod replaced a penalty kick to lead loans.

Minnesota’s coach Eric Ramsay said, “This was a really important victory, and I am happy for everyone associated with this club because I know it’s something that people (his) wanted back as soon as possible,” said Minnesota coach Eric Ramsay.

“They are a team that has maintained success, and we need to be able to show it again and again that we can beat those teams.”
