Sam Sai’s Brace lifts Nashville SC on Toronto FC

Sam Sarij scored twice, including game-winner Tally in the 89th minute, as Nashville was held at SC to win a 2–1 victory over Toronto FC on Saturday, in an eastern conference match on the banks of Lake Ontario.
Nashville (8-4-3, 27 points) won this season only for the second time on the road and extended its unbeaten streak in MLS to six direct matches (4-0-2).
The possibility of scoring was at a premium in the first half, with only four combined shots and only one – by Nashville – on the goal. The occasion came in the ninth minute when Alex Muil’s left leg shot from the center of the box was rescued by Toronto Keeper Scene Johnson.
Reds (3-8-4, 13 digits) had a chance to make some noise in the 38th minute, but the Lorenzo Insigne shot never got closer to the goal after Nashville’s defender Patrick Yazbek was blocked.
Both teams were very aggressive after the break, early in the second half with the production scoring.
Honey Mukhtar of Nashville tested Johnson with a low-percent shot in the 51st minute that Reds Keeper easily heated. Toronto replied two minutes later when Ola Brinhildson moved from inside the penalty area to the heels with a bicycle kick, with Nashville’s goalkeeper who Wilis was able to bat in the last moment to score it.
He prepared a platform for Sirij, who was the beneficiaries of a pair of amazing pass before scoring in the 57th minute. Andy Nazar started a drama with a long pass in the region, in which Mukhtar had joined Johnson with one-one-one and one in Sarij’s leg, which was to direct the ball to the net with only an easy kick.
Nashville threatened to add to Johnson in the 60th and 65th minutes respectively and threatened to add the lead.
Toronto pressed hard for equalizer in the last 15-plus minutes, in which the Tires Spiser found a shot on the target in the 77th minute and then Federico Bernardeei was tested after eight minutes after the coeotes keeper.
In the 89th minute, with the help of Jonathan Perez, Sarij removed the match with his second goal.
But the Reds did not end, that goal was returned and was expected when Jonathan Osorio turned around a pass by Charlie Sharp and scored in a minute in a minute.
