Sabrina INESCU helped with the absence of injury to 28 points, eight rebounds and eight aids as a new York Liberty with the absence of injury of ACES Star A’aja Wilson-Laswar on the night to lose to Las Vegas 87-78.
Wilson, three times WNBA MVP, was injured with 4:13 in the second quarter. He moved to the left of the circle and was fouled by Leoni Fiabich. In an attempt to break his collapse, Wilson injured his right wrist and did not return for the second half.

The game was a fight between the two most recent league champions. Las Vegas won the WNBA titles in 2022 and 2023. New York won its first championship last season.
New York (13–6) has won six straight regular season games against Las Vegas. Despite the win, Liberty is just 4-6 in its last 10 matches.
Las Vegas (9–10), relative to its genealogy, struggled in all seasons and dropped three of its last five.
New York led 19–16 after a quarter, but Las Vegas topped the top of 42–40. Young trimmed one with a second on the clock for a narrow lead.
Liberty used 10–2 runs to proceed at the end of the three quarters, 62–60 and New York carried out the speed in the fourth.
Neither the team shot the ball especially well. New York shot 42.9 percent from the floor, including 7 -27 on 3 -pointers (25.9 percent). Las Vegas made 41.0 percent, including 7 -26 on 3 -pointers (26.9 percent).
But Liberty got an advantage on Fastbreak Points (17-7) as well as Paint Points (38-32).
