Ryan parag’s blunt confession as RR is out of IPL playoff race, openly guilty …

The Rajasthan Royals (RR), after facing a 100 -run defeat against the Mumbai Indians (MI), a revival for the eighth defeat of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, won their seventh win and sixth consecutive win on Thursday. MI posted a total challenging of 217/2, riding a measured and calculated batting performance, seeking that they hold wickets in hand and expedite the later stages. In response, Rajasthan was never really going and the scoreboard fell under pressure.
Speaking after the match, Ryan Parag accepted Mumbai’s better performance.
Parag quoted ESPNcricinfo as saying, “MI has been credited for the way you bat. He took wickets.”
“Yes, 190-200 would have been ideal. We are starting well. But it is until the middle order – Dhruv (jurral) – to step into step. We have done a lot of things right and wrong. A lot of mistakes and small errors. We want to focus on them, and focus on good (accessories),” he said.
Parag’s comments indicate growing concerns within the RR camp, especially failing to complete finishing with middle order.
Mumbai Indians appear at the peak at the right time, making them one of the most dangerous aspects in the competition.
This was MI’s sixth direct win after losing four out of four of their first five matches.
Chasing a huge target of 218, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi opened the innings for RR. MI bowler Deepak Char removed Suryavanshi in the over for a long first over for zero. Nitish Rana joined Jaiswal in the middle.
Jaiswal was soon removed by Trent Bault in the second over of the innings for 13 (6). Rajasthan kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Rana, after a conflict in the middle, was removed by the bowlt for 9 (11) in the 4th over.
RR captain Ryan Parag and Dhruv Juraral tried to increase the run rate, but Parag killed Rohit Sharma from Bumrah in the 5th over on a ball directly. Experienced seamar Bumrah removed the Shimron Hetmier on the next ball.
Impact player Shubam Dubey joined Jurael in the middle. RR finished its power-play at 62/5. MI captain Hardik Pandya took Dubey’s wicket on his first ball in the match. Shubam made 15 (9), his innings consisted of two fours and one six.
Jofra Archer joined Jurael in the middle, and both batsmen rotated the strike for a few overs. Jurral was also removed by Karn Sharma for 11 (11) in the 9th over. RR was 76/7 in nine overs.
Mahesh Thekshana joined the Archer in the middle, Bumrah was caught by one in his third over and gave him a ball opportunity, but Karn Sharma removed him for 2 (9) in the next over. Karna got two wickets in his second over, he got better than Kumar Karthikeya for zero, RR was 91/9 in 12 overs.
Archer and Akash Madhwal added 26 runs for the final wicket.
MI Bowling defeated RR as Kern Sharma and Trent Bault, and Bumrah took two wickets.
Hardik Pandya and Deepak Char took one wicket each.
In the first innings, MI openers left for a flying start, brought the team 50 in just 5.2 overs and completed the powerplay at 58 without any loss.
Ricelton was the first to reach his half -century, reached there in 29 balls, while Rohit soon chased 50 runs with 31 delivery.
The pair shared 116 runs before the Sri Lankan spinner Mahech Thekshana, which rejected Reclleton for 61 (38 balls), knocking one with seven borders and three sixes.
Rohit left shortly after 53 (36 balls), which included nine fours, who fell to Rajasthan captain Ryan Parag. However, there was no relief for the Royals as Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya took charge in the late innings.
The pair added an unbeaten 94-ri partnership, in which both batsmen finished the same score of 48, with each run off 23 balls.
Suryakumar sealed the innings in style, launched six from the final delivery. He and Pandya did not remain outside.
Only Theekshana and Parag managed to take every wicket for the hosts.
