New Zealand’s Ryan Fox and Italy’s Matteo Mainesero shot 64 S64S on Saturday in the third round of the RBC Canadian Open to shared the lead at TPC Toronto at Opera Valley’s North Course in Ontario.
Fox and Mansaro are at 14-under 196, Matt McCarti (64) Li Hojes (63) and Chinese Taipei’s Kevin U (63) are going to a-shot lead in the last round of Sunday.
Andrew Putnam (68), Jack Kannap (66) and Canada’s Macenzi Hughes (64) are two strokes, while seven others are less than 11. Putam, which was in the final pair of the day, rolled into a Bedi put on the last hole.
In the afternoon, there was a six-way tie for the first place in 13 in the afternoon.
Manassero, who never won the PGA tour, took the lead to his first bogie of the day when he used three puts on number 17. They got the stroke back with a shirt on the closing hole.
Fox, whose loan PGA Tour won last month’s Martal Beach in classic, was 5 through nine holes, capting its round with a shirt. Hughes were in the playoffs when Fox Martal won in the middle.
The second round leader Cameron Champion shot 71 without a shirt, rescued the rough on the 18th hole, 11 to stick to the group in the under. Champ is a longshot that was the eighth optional to secure a place in the field of tournament when the week started.
Other contenders for Hafway Mark dropped the leaderboard. Canada’s Richard Lee (70) and Denmark’s Thorborne Olesen (71) and their top-three places were knocked and now ranked 25th and 29th respectively.
Only 11 golfers had over-market scores on Saturday.
The third round was played without Rory McLero in Northern Ireland, who missed a cut for the first time since last July.
