Rohit Sharma explodes Indian commentators for “agenda-driven criticism”

One of the most attractive cricketers in the game, yet Rohit Sharma is not immune to Pandits, former cricketers or journalists. India’s Ekadivas captain has also been part of some fiery press conferences, especially since playing the role of a captain in the national team. In the final stages of his career, Rohit pointed to a major change, which he has seen in the way the cricket business is run. In an interview, the 38 -year -old highlighted how ‘Masala’ captured ‘pure cricket’ in modern times.
During an interview with Vimal Kumar, Rohit highlighted how big is the difference between the kind of comment he sees in Australia, compared to what is a big difference between the kind of comment in India, which calls the East ‘disappointing’.
“We see everything, we talk to each other. Sometimes when we are watching matches on TV, the kind of commentators see the commentary in Australia, it is very different from the kind of commentary he talks.
Veteran batsmen, who recently quit Test cricket, said that criticizing a player on poor form is completely understandable, but commentator should know where to draw the line.
“There are many people who love sports. They do not want to watch cricket, they want to watch cricket. In today’s time, we put a lot of spices in the game. There are also cricket lovers who want to know more about the game, and understand that all people do not want to hear about personal goods. Rohit said that there is a lot of respect.
Rohit also feels that in today’s time, the ‘agenda-driven’ criticism has occupied a player’s performance or non-demonstration.
“Yes, there are things where it has gone out of our hands. We did not perform well in some examples, where we deserve criticism. There is no problem. We lost to New Zealand at home, we deserve criticism. But there is a way to criticize someone. Today, agenda-driven criticism is being done here. It does not like it so much.
Rohit also said that he does not believe in defending himself on criticism, because the ‘attack’ is what he is good.
“It is important to handle criticism in a sportsperson’s life. I understand it. But, it is unnecessary criticism that I am against it. Such things were not needed. I see that people say a lot about me, some say that if I am going out then I want to do a lot of things. I want to do a lot.”
