This was a week to avenge Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians. Initially, on 18 April, Punjab Kings traveled to the Chinnaswamy Stadium and defeated RCB in a low scoring thriller. However, RCB bounced back against Punjab Kings 48 hours later, defeating him in Mulanpur for revenge.
Similarly, Mumbai Indians won the IPL’s L Classico against Chennai Super Kings. Both teams met in the IPL for the second time this season. However, the Punjab Kings bowlers staged a great comeback, and Kolkata Knight Riders threatened, all were out for 95 runs in 15.1 overs. It was a low score thriller, and it is the lowest total defended by any team in IPL history.
