Rock Bottom: Colorado Rockies season is already on 4-23 records
Finishing 13 games below 500 in 2021. Colorado has begun to feel like good old days for Rockies.
Even last-season Chicago White Sox (41–121) is looking at Rockies and saying, “Geez, how terrible people are?”
The season is just one-six and there are lots of baseballs to play. But one thing can already be said about 2025 Colorado Rockies.
Friends, your season is over.
We do not need a magic number to eliminate Colorado from the playoff controversy.
Rockies are an absmal 4-23 as near April.
Colorado is at speed to win 24 games this season – Los Angeles can win around 80 less than doors.
Rocky is 1–14 on the Rocky road with 13 consecutive losses.
The well-high air for Colorado which was now good now has no effect, as these Rocky are just 3-9 at home. He was a victim of only three-market weekend sweeps, in which he conceded 22 runs to Cincinnati Reds.
Colorado cannot score, it cannot pitch and it cannot do the ground.
Rocky in Major with 89 runs and 5.33 ERA is the next. He is ranked 28th in the batting average (.213) and 27th in errors (23).
Let us not forget that Colorado leads big companies by striking 286 times.
Ryan McMahon and Michael Toglia are tied with 40 strikeout episce for Major League lead. Both players have done only 94 at-bats.
McMahon, who was the all-star representative of Colorado in the previous season, is batting only .160 with two homes and four RBI.
Bad news for the payroll department – McMahon is earning $ 12 million in this season and is outstanding $ 16 million in both 2026 and 2027.
Chris Bryant is in the fourth season of seven years, a $ 182 million deal and played in just 170 total games for Rockies. In this season, former National League MVP has played in 11 matches, is batting. 154 and now are in the injured list with more low-pending issues.
Bryant has produced only 17 homes and 61 RBI for Colorado. Did the franchise lose high rights of miles when it traded Nolan Arenado in St. Louis Cardinals?
Early pitching has so far been a disaster, in which only right-handed Ryan Feltoner (0–1, 3.86 ERA) resemble a large Legier.
The left-arm Kyle Freeland (0–4, 5.93 ERA) certainly checks behind his baseball card, to see that he actually went with a 2.85 ERA in 2018 with a 2.85 ERA. He has gone 32-59 since that big season.
Right-hand Antonio Senjetla (1–4, 5.22 ERA) and German Markets (0-4, 9.30 ERA) are trying to revive their careers after major hand injuries.
Right-arm chase Dollander (1-3, 7.91 ERA) is the top likely to colorado, but there is nothing about his four-start data. He is tied to the Major League lead with eight homers, which allows just 19 1/3 of pitching in innings.
Defense definitely recalls the injured gold glove shortstop aseciel tower (hip). The Kyle Farmer is watching action in the shortstop to help soften the loss, but the infield defense of Colorado is much better when the farmer is on another basis.
You will also wonder how the manager Black has created to run Rocky in his ninth season.
The 68-94 mark in 2022 did not remove him. The pink slip did not occur at 59–103 in 2023, nor was there 61–101 points in the previous season.
This is 298 losses over a period of three years. In 2017 and 2018, those playoff berths have been given a very long lease by Black.
The future also does not feel very bright. Colorado captured the Bryant deal and recently there have been no prominent players in the free-agent market.
If the dollander is to offer the best farm system, just think of all middleing possibilities that are Rockies.
There is a famous possibility in Charlie Kondon as overall in 2024 number 3 in Colorado. But regrettably, he fractured his left wrist in a minor league spring training game and has not started his season yet.
With Rockies, you can’t even say “wait until next year.”
It likes more … wait until the next decade.
