Rishabh Pant said ‘OK Player’, as experts rip in the LSG captain for the shocking season

Wicket-keeper Batter, which was also given the captaincy of the team, scored only 135 runs in 12 matches so far, both proved to be unable with the bat and from the leadership point of view. As the defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad confirmed the exit of LSG from the IPL playoff race on Monday, the pants were branded as a ‘OK player’, which performs the worst in the T20 format.
In a chat on Cricbuzz, former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doll stated that Pant is the weakest in the lowest format and LSG might have made a mistake by appointing the franchise captain.
“This is his worst format. He was desperate to leave after that. Now he has a bad season. You don’t know, he is not … so he has not set huge standards, in fact high standards that he is completely submerged. He has been just a fine player as far as you know, he is an incredible Test match. He said,” he said.
Before the LSG mega auction managed to rope in pants, Nicolas Gorn was leading the race to become the new captain of the franchise. But the arrival of Indian wicket-keeper Batter gave rise to heart change in Lucknow franchise, which decided to make him in charge.
