Punjab Kings on Sunday made a step towards the playoffs with a loud win over the Lucknow super veterans. Playing at the picturesque location of Dharmasala, PBKS posted a total of 236/5 after being asked to bat first. Later, the hosts limited LSG to 199/7 and won 37 runs in the match. The biggest hero of PBKS’s victory was opener Prabhasimran Singh, who knocked 91 runs in 48 balls. As the LSG bowler kept leaking a lot of runs, there was a moment in the game when captain Rishabh Pant lost his cool in Pesar Avesh Khan.

This took place in the 18th over in PBKS’s innings when Shashank Singh and Prabhasimran went to Barsak. The beginning of the over was playing a reverse ramp for a border with Shashank, followed by a wide ball. This pants left fuming as he asked Avesh to check his line and length.

Later, Shashank hit another four and a single to bring Prabasimran on strike. This moment became even more painful for Avesh as the PBKS opener hit two sixes and one Seema in the remaining three balls.

With 26 runs in the over, Evesh finished his four -over quota and scored a total of 57 runs and remained wicketless.

With this victory, PBK climbed second on the points table with a total of 15 points after 11 matches. Prabhasimran’s 91 -run knock actually proved to be fruitful for PBKs.

“This is a very good knock and 2 points matters a lot to us and are happy that it came in a victorious reason. I was set when I was dropped, I wanted to capitalize on the drop,” Prabhseraman said during the post -match presentation.

He said, “Initially it failed to read the wicket, it took some time and then decided that we need to make 200. Whatever the situation is demanding, any of our batting unit is moving into every game and it is good that we are winning,” he said.
