Rikuya Hoshino (neck) origin from Scottish Open WDS

The European Tour Golfer Rickuya Hoshino on Thursday withdrew during the first round of the Scottish Open due to a neck injury.

Hoshino completed 16 holes at the Renaissance Club in North Bervik, Scotland, which began at nine and finished with a bogey in par-4 seventh hole before pulling out.

Japan had a 29-year-old, five bogies and a 3-over-market with two birdies.

Hoshino won a win on Europe’s DP World Tour and six on the Japanese tour, where he was named The Ruki of the Year in 2018. He has done five top -50 finishes on the PGA tour this season. He made six cuts and missed nine.
